Directions to Embed Stream

Web developers:  You only need to paste in the HTML code below into your web page of choice to view the stream:

<object classid="CLSID:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6" id="WMP7" width="320"><param name="URL" value="mms://cope.colostate.edu/lsc_live" /></object>

There are numerous other parameters you could add to the above code to control the player’s options.  Feel free to contact Shaun or Steve if you have questions!  Eg, here’s an code snippet that could be utilized when embedding a stream:

  <object classid="CLSID:22d6f312-b0f6-11d0-94ab-0080c74c7e95" codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=5,1,52,701" height="285" id="mediaPlayer" standby="Loading Microsoft Windows Media Player components..." type="application/x-oleobject" width="360"> <param name="fileName" value="mms://cope.colostate.edu/lsc_live" /> <param name="animationatStart" value="true" /> <param name="transparentatStart" value="true" /> <param name="autoStart" value="true" /> <param name="showControls" value="true" /> <param name="loop" value="true" /> <embed autosize="-1" autostart="true" bgcolor="darkblue" designtimesp="5311" displaysize="4" height="285" id="mediaPlayer" loop="true" name="mediaPlayer" pluginspage="http://microsoft.com/windows/mediaplayer/en/download/" showcontrols="true" showdisplay="0" showstatusbar="-1" showtracker="-1" src="mms://cope.colostate.edu/lsc_live" type="application/x-mplayer2" videoborder3d="-1" width="360"></embed> </object>

Directions to Embed WMV Video Using HTML

Ideally wmv files should be converted/encoded to some other video format that is more web-friendly (eg, flv, mp4, etc.).  Such programs as Any Video Converter or iSkySoft Video Converter do a decent job of performing this encoding.  However, it is nonetheless possible to embed such a video on the web using the following code:

<object classid="clsid:22D6F312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95" codebase="http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/MediaPlayer/" height="360" width="480"><param name="Filename" value="/Data/Sites/1/videos/YOUR_VIDEO.wmv" /><param name="AutoStart" value="true" /><param name="ShowControls" value="true" /><param name="BufferingTime" value="2" /><param name="ShowStatusBar" value="true" /><param name="AutoSize" value="true" /><param name="InvokeURLs" value="false" /><embed autostart="1" codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=6,0,0,0" enabled="1" height="360" pluginspage="http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/MediaPlayer/" showcontrols="1" showdisplay="1" showstatusbar="1" src="/Data/Sites/1/videos/YOUR_VIDEO.wmv" type="application/x-mplayer2" width="480"></embed></object>
